Brody turned one on August 9th! It was a Saturday and hot, so we decided to throw a birthday bash at the clubhouse and pool. While Kelly decorated and hauled the birthday goods downstairs, I furiously got the food ready. All our efforts paid off and we had a wonderful party. First, we all ate yummy bbq food, salads, chips and cake. Then we cooled off in the pool! I think Brody really enjoyed everything. He certainly enjoyed being the life of the party! He had fun wandering from group to group saying hi to everyone. He's a natural entertainer! Here's some pictures:

I made Brody his own little cake, but he wasn't interested in the cake. He only wanted the blueberries and strawberries on top. He even didn't really care for the cream cheese frosting. He'd pluck a blueberry, whipe off the frosting on the side of his chair and then eat the blueberry. What a kid!

Brody didn't really understand present opening, so Kelly decided to enlist the help of all Brody's friends. Brody got lots of help! Wrapping paper was flying!

Wow. What an ambitious woman to host such a party. And how domestic you've become, baking cakes and all. Brody sure is cute and looks like he had a good time.
